Trevor Foulk

Trevor Foulk is an associate professor in Warrington’s management department. Prior to returning to the University of Florida, Foulk was on the faculty at the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. Foulk’s research spans a broad range of topics, including power dynamics, deviant workplace behavior, and employee well-being.
His research has been published in outlets including the Academy of Management Journal, the Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Personnel Psychology, the Journal of Management and the Journal of Organizational Behavior.
Foulk serves as an associate editor at Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes. He also serves on the editorial boards of the Academy of Management Journal, the Journal of Applied Psychology and Personnel Psychology. Foulk was awarded the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology Early Career Contributions Award (Science) in 2024.
Foulk is also an award-winning teacher, having won the Teacher of the Year award for Core Faculty-All Majors in the Warrington MBA program in 2025.

Jim Hoover

Jim Hoover is a clinical professor at Warrington. He has an extensive background in analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, forecasting and operations research. He combines a long career in industry with a passion for academics and research.
His commercial experience includes running several businesses and a large information technology and management consulting account for one of the world’s largest consulting firms. Additionally, he built an analytics consulting practice, developing new skills and capabilities for an analytics workforce growing at more than 20% per year.
Hoover previously taught at the University of Pennsylvania and Florida Southern College. His current research is focused on the integration of artificial intelligence into business and big data privacy concerns.

Brian Ray

Brian Ray is a faculty member at Warrington and serves as director of the Poe Business Ethics Center and an instructional professor of leadership and ethics. Ray is also the contributing professor for the Wall Street Journal in the fields of leadership and ethics and teaches graduate-level ethics courses for the George Washington University Elliott School of International Affairs.
For 17 years, Ray served as associate dean for Warrington. In that capacity, he was responsible for leading a nationally ranked undergraduate program with over 4,000 students.
In addition to his work in higher education, Ray served 35 years in the U.S. Army (active, guard, and reserve) retiring as a colonel. During his military career, Ray was recognized many times for exemplary leadership. He is a recipient of the General Douglas MacArthur Leadership Award, one of the Army’s most prestigious honors for company-grade officers. He is also a recipient of the Lowry Award, presented annually to the top company-grade officer in the Florida National Guard. In his final assignment Dr. Ray served as a Faculty Instructor in Leadership and Ethics for the U.S. Army War College.
Prior to that he served as a Senior Advisor for the Department of Defense Standards of Conduct Office. He’s also served as a Chaplain for the Office of the Joint Chiefs of Staff as well as the Executive Editor of the U.S. Army Chaplain Corps Journal. He also served as the Command Chaplain for the 377th Theater Sustainment Command, the largest command in the U.S. Army Reserve with over 35,000 soldiers. In that role, he directed the religious support of 100 chaplains. Dr. Ray served three tours of active duty after the 9/11 terrorists attacks. Locations where he’s deployed include Iraq, Afghanistan, Jordan, Kuwait, and Qatar. During his most recent deployment to Afghanistan, Dr. Ray earned a second Bronze Star Medal.

David Gaddis Ross

David Gaddis Ross is the R. Perry Frankland Professor at Warrington. Before that, he was an Assistant and Associate Professor at Columbia Business School. He has two streams of research: (1) organizational strategy and governance and (2) the foundations of strategy, including topics like differentiation and resource acquisition. His theoretical work often makes use of mathematical modeling.
Ross’ research has been featured many times in the media, including in outlets like The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Washington Post, NBC Nightly News, The McKinsey Quarterly, Forbes, Huffington Post, Bloomberg, Businessweek, The Sunday Times and The Economist.
He teaches courses on strategy and entrepreneurship in Warrington’s graduate business programs, where he has won several awards for teaching. He also has taught for years in executive training programs on behalf of organizations like Accenture, Columbia Business School, KPMG and Oliver Wyman.
Prior to becoming an academic, he worked for over a decade on Wall Street, where he advised governments and firms on mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, privatization, and cross-border tax and accounting arbitrage. He has extensive experience applying quantitative methods to solving real business problems and explaining technical subjects to non-technical audiences.
