GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Fisher School of Accounting’s undergraduate program ranked sixth among all U.S. public accounting programs in U.S. News & World Report’s “2014 Best Colleges” edition.

Overall, Fisher’s undergraduate program ranked 11th among all U.S. private and public accounting programs.

“Our students, faculty and staff work tirelessly toward continuous improvement in our accounting programs, and we’re pleased to see these efforts recognized,” said Dr. Gary McGill, J. Roy Duggan Professor, Associate Dean and Director of the Fisher School of Accounting.

The impressive finish in the U.S. News rankings is just the latest exemplary recognition from a national publication. In August, The Fisher School’s undergraduate program ranked sixth among publics (ninth overall) in Public Accounting Report’s (PAR) 32nd Annual Survey of Accounting Professors. The Fisher School’s graduate (10th among publics, 13th overall) and doctoral (15th among publics, 19th overall) programs also had notable finishes in PAR’s ranking.
