Hello PaCE Business Gators!!
Welcome to the Heavener School of Business!!
Since 2017, I have served as an Academic & Career Advisor for the Heavener School of Business working with all business students. I am grateful to now work specifically with PaCE students, helping with admission, transition, and college success. I am a graduate of Stony Brook University in New York with a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology, minor in Africana Studies and a Masters of Social Work with a specialization in Student Community Development. Prior to joining the Academic and Career Advising team at the Heavener School of Business, I served as a CUNY Start Advisor at Bronx Community College for three and a half years. In this advising role, I supported incoming students with remedial Math and Reading/Writing needs. I have a passion for teaching and equipping students with the tools needed to own their college experience. I have made Gainesville my home and have a wealth of real world knowledge to share with you.
I am excited that you have decided to pursue the General Studies major through the PaCE program. I am looking forward to being your supportive partner to assist you in navigating the complexities of college life, discovering your strengths, developing a transferrable skill set, and achieving your established academic and pre-professional goals.
The cornerstone of the Heavener School of Business advising model is the “Four Pillars of Success”: Academics, International Studies, Career Development, and Leadership Development. These pillars will not only frame our work together, but also serve to enhance your learning experience and promote your growth from a business student into a business professional.
I would be happy to meet with you on an ongoing basis throughout your time as a business student. I invite you to use the services offered through the Academic & Career Advising office to both jumpstart and continue your success here. You can contact me by visiting the Academic & Career Advising Office at 333 Heavener Hall, by calling our front desk at: (352) 273-0165, or through email.
I hope to speak with you soon!!
Take Care and Go Gators!!
