Biography

Dear Global Gator,

Back in the day, I graduated from Denison University in Ohio with a B.A. in French Literature. As an undergraduate, I spent my junior year in France studying at the Sorbonne and Sciences Po. I continued my post-graduate studies in Paris at the Université René Descartes of the Université of Paris V, where I earned a D.E.U.G. in psychology. After graduating and traveling extensively throughout Europe, I took a position with IBM World Trade in New York. While working for IBM in Tampa, I earned an M.B.A. from the University of South Florida. I have lived in Baltimore, Paris, New York, Washington, D.C., and Tampa prior to moving to Gainesville.

Prior to joining the International Programs in the Heavener School of Business, I served as a study abroad advisor at the University of Florida International Center. My background is in the private sector having worked in the insurance, healthcare, computer and technology industries. As the Associate Director for International Programs, my primary role is to advise students on study abroad and administer the UF business programs in Dublin, London, Madrid, Paris and Rome. I work to promote study abroad to all UF students. Our programs enable students to take courses which meet graduation requirements while immersed in a foreign culture. In London, Dublin and Paris, students can participate in an internship. There is detailed information about the sponsored and exchange international programs on the web.

While you are at UF, I strongly urge you to study abroad. College is the best time to explore other cultures, broaden your world perspective, and develop personal and career related skills. People all over the world embrace students as they travel with an open mind and a sense of adventure. Your study abroad experience will enhance your competitiveness and prepare you for a role in the global marketplace. Make the world your campus and become a Global Gator!

You can reach me by email. For an appointment, call 352-273-0151. My office is located in 307 Heavener Hall. Meet with me and we can chart your course to a fulfilling study abroad experience.
