Welcome to the Heavener School of Business! I am excited to get to work alongside you on your collegiate journey.
As a first generation in college graduate, I earned my Doctor of Education in Special Education with my qualitative research focusing on veterans with disabilities experiences in higher education from the University of Florida. Additionally, from the University of North Florida, I earned my Master of Education in Special Education with a concentration in Disability Services and Bachelor of Arts in Special Education with a concentration in Deaf Studies.
I am passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion of underrepresented populations in higher education. Therefore, over the years, I have supported college students in various capacities such as workforce advising for technical certificates, disability services for accommodations and assistive technology, and teaching for (un)Common Reads. I started at the University of Florida in the Disability Resource Center in June of 2018 as a learning specialist to discuss barriers Gators may experience in their academics to determine reasonable accommodations while collaborating with faculty to facilitate accommodations and implement Universal Design principles.
I am eager to utilize my educational and professional experience to support your journey within Heavener School of Business. Heavener School of Business has a plethora of resources available to you and I am excited to get you connected to the path that best supports your personal and professional goals.
Go Gators!
