Study abroad in South Korea
UF in South Korea
South Korea is a global leader in innovation, technology, and economic growth, offering a dynamic blend of tradition and modern influence.
Seoul, its capital, is a major hub for international business and one of Asia’s most influential economic centers. Through this program, students live and work in South Korea while completing coursework and an international internship, gaining hands‑on professional experience with support from the Asia Internship Program, an organization dedicated to developing globally competent students.
Offered Summer A term.

Seoul, South Korea
The city of Seoul is one of the world’s most dynamic and innovative metropolitan centers. While Seoul is a major global city, its distinct neighborhoods and strong sense of community create a welcoming environment for students. Renowned for its blend of modern technology and traditional culture, Seoul captivates visitors with its wide range of restaurants, cafés, museums, historic sites, shopping districts, and lively entertainment venues. South Korea leads in its global cultural exports through K-Pop and K-dramas and has deep historical roots that allow students to juxtapose modernity with tradition.
Heavener’s South Korea Partner: Asia Internship Program
AIP was founded in 2013 with the aim of connecting talent to Asia. Throughout the years, the organization expanded its outreach to offering academic and customized study abroad programs in Europe and South America.
AIP has hosted and placed thousands of students in various industries across Asia, Europe, and South America through academic partnerships. AIP’s expansive network of organizations offers students the opportunity to align their academic and professional goals while also developing the cultural competencies needed to succeed in the global context. AIP’s mission is “not just to provide internships but to shape the global citizens of tomorrow.”
AIP’s talented team will provide onsite logistical support throughout the program and help students acclimate to their new surroundings in South Korea.
This program is open to students in all colleges and majors. Korean language ability is not required, as all students are paired with an English-speaking supervisor.
