Business Ethics Ambassadors

Leaders who advocate for keeping business honest

Today, the push and pull of a business’s bottom line and a business’s values are a delicate dance. Ethics is the substance that defines a business’s longevity, balancing profit and consumer desire with long-term values that keep a business sustainable.

Warrington’s Business Ethics Ambassadors help you develop your internal compass to navigate the ambiguity that often emerges between business needs and a code of ethics.

Consider the ethical dilemma that emerges in retail between one-time use apparel and clothing with a longer life cycle. The principled leader considers ethical production, a fair wage, use of eco-friendly materials, the reduction of waste, and transparency in the sourcing of raw materials. At the foundation of all of this decision making are ethical principles.

Having an internal compass can help you navigate the ambiguity that often emerges between business needs and a code of ethics.

This student organization aims to instill that compass by bridging in-class experience with immersive learning. Develop a unique skill set that considers a nicomachean ethics in business  – an IQ and EQ that position you for success.

Real-world exercises in true-to-life morality

An intro to the business ethics case competition

During Warrington Welcome business ambassadors provide first years and transfers with a kind of “Ethics 101,” then you are given a case. Students form teams and compete against one another. Winners are chosen and invited to final rounds judged by area business leaders.

Join the business ethics case competition team

On this team you’ll work to proactively practice strategic, value-based decision making that stands to ethically benefit an organization’s internal and external stakeholders. Practice these skills during national competitions.

Distinguished alumni speaker series

Business ethics ambassadors bring distinguished alumni to campus to share their experiences – both challenges and opportunities – associated with ethical behavior in business. Ambassadors are also given the opportunity to interact with these alums in an intimate setting.

Rotary Club ethics in business award deliberation

Ambassadors work in small teams to interview Rotary Club and Gainesville Chamber of Commerce award nominees. They collaborate with other ambassadors to develop recommendations for award recipients. Select ambassador leaders are often invited to attend the award lunch.
