During my recruitment process with Facebook I made sure to visit the CAP Mentor offices in order to receive feedback on my application. I felt very prepared after my meetings with Veronica because I had the opportunity to go through a mock interview and answer questions that were very similar to the ones I was asked at Facebook. I received a tremendous amount of support and guidance and it made a real difference during my interview because I felt confident in knowing that I had practiced the material with my CAP Mentor!

History

The CAP Mentor program was launched in Fall 2009 to assist students in finding internships. Thirteen students were hired in this inaugural mentor class with the intent to provide career services to their peers. Today, mentors provide over 1,100 one-on-one career advising appointments with business majors each semester. The first CAP mentor class laid the foundation for what would become a successful peer-to-peer career advising program and one of the top mentoring programs at the University of Florida
