Journal of Accounting Literature

The Fisher School of Accounting is pleased to announce that Emerald has acquired the Journal of Accounting Literature. The journal was established in 1982 at the University of Florida. It was previously published by both the University (1982-2012) and Elsevier (2013-2019). The founding editor of the journal was Rashad Abdel-Khalik. Subsequent editors were Bipin Ajinkya, Robert Knechel, and Stephen Asare. The journal resumed publication in 2022 with its 44th volume.

The Journal of Accounting Literature is a Scopus-indexed publication that provides an interdisciplinary outlet for synthesis articles and original research papers related to accounting phenomena. With its international breadth and historical roots in the accounting subject area, the Fisher School is excited for the journal’s future with Emerald. The Journal of Accounting Literature has been added to Emerald’s Accounting & Finance collection and is available for subscription.
