K. Alex Daneshmand (D.O. ’06, MBA ’16)

Alex was promoted to System Medical Director of Clinical Quality and Safety at Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida in Fort Myers. In his new role, he collaborates with other leaders and clinical departments to advance pediatric operational performance and improve the effectiveness of inpatient medical care. Alex joined at Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida in 2007 as a physician in its pediatric intensive care unit. During his tenure, he also served as Medical Director of the Pediatric Procedural Sedation Center, on the Oversight System Medical Staff Quality Services Committee and as Chairman of the Pediatric Medical Staff Quality Committee.

Ryan McConnell (MSRE ’15, JD ’15)

Ryan recently joined the law firm Hill Ward Henderson as part of the firm’s Real Estate Group. Based in the firm’s Tampa office, Ryan’s practice includes real property purchase and sale transactions, commercial development, institutional lending, and commercial leasing. He previously was an Associate at Jones, Foster, Johnston & Stubbs in West Palm Beach.

Matt Klein (MBA ’11)

Matt was named Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at Spirit Airlines. In his new role, Matt will lead revenue and marketing strategy, managing Spirit's Network Planning, Pricing & Revenue Management and Consumer Marketing teams. Matt most recently worked in various consulting capacities in the travel industry, and has more than 20 years of management experience in the airline and travel industries.

RT Good (PDB ’08)

RT was appointed Dean of the College of Business and Management at Lynn University. He most recently served as Associate Dean and Professor of the Byrd School of Business at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Va. RT is a graduate of the College’s Post-Doctoral Bridge Program, which is designed to prepare scholars for teaching and research careers in business schools.

Brian Schlang (BSAc ’08, MAcc ’08) and Adam Ziffer (BSAc ’93, MAcc ’95)

Brian and Adam were both appointed Directors in the Tax and Accounting Department at MBAF, one of the nation’s top accounting and advisory firms. Brian provides extensive compliance and consulting services to entities in various industries, and Adam specializes in corporate, individual, and partnership tax planning with an emphasis on real estate acquisition, professional associations, and closely-held companies. Brian and Adam are based in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office.

Matthew Lear (BSBA ’07)

Matthew Lear and Erica Bland were married Aug. 20 at Park Avenue Summer in New York. Matthew is an Account Executive, Brand Partnerships at Awesomeness TV, a digital media and production company. Erica is the Interim Nurse Leader in the Radiology Department at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. The couple resides in New York.

Daniel Alvarez (BA '03, BSBA '03)

Daniel is currently hiking from the northernmost point in Europe—Kinnarodden, Norway—to Europe's southernmost point, Tarifa, Spain. He has hiked the Appalachian Trail, the Pacific Crest Trail, and the Continental Divide Trail. You can follow Daniel on his journey at predictablylost.com.

Reshunda Mahone (BSBA ’02)

Reshunda was appointed Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Virginia State University in Petersburg, Va. Most recently, she served as Associate Vice President for Development at Spelman College in Atlanta. Reshunda has served in advancement roles at the University of Florida, the University of Miami, Georgia State University, and the University of Central Florida.

Eric Rabinowitz (BSAc ’97)

Eric was appointed to the Board of Directors at Proteostasis Therapeutics, a biotechnology company with a lead development stage product in cystic fibrosis. Eric is the Vice President of Global Corporate Development for Perrigo, a leading global healthcare supplier, and leads the team in devising Perrigo’s strategy, and identifying and executing inorganic growth opportunities. Eric is based in Perrigo's Parsippany, New Jersey office.

Jonathan Carter (BSBA ’93, MBA ’96)

Jonathan was recently appointed a Managing Director at HDH Advisors, which delivers high-quality advisory services including business appraisal, litigation support, and related professional services. He previously served as a Director in PwC’s Deals practice. Jonathan is based in Atlanta.

David Wolf (BSBA ’87, JD ’90)

David recently published his eighth book, “Florida Automobile Accidents - Personal Injuries - Keys to Enforcing and Protecting Your Legal Rights.” David is a Partner with the law firm Wood, Atter & Wolf, P.A., which has been serving residents and visitors to the State of Florida since 1957. David resides with his wife, two kids, and three rescue dogs in St. Johns.

Michael Hancock (BSBA ’83)

Mike is the Founder and Partner of Hancock Injury Attorneys, which ranked No. 54 in on the 1st Annual Law Firm 500 Honorees List, showcasing the top 100 fastest-growing law firms in the U.S. the firm, which has offices in Tampa, Brandon, and Land O’ Lakes, achieved 84.91% growth. Gary King (BSBA ’79)

Gary was named to the Board of Directors of SOASTA, a global leader in performance analytics headquartered in Mountain View, Calif. Gary previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at T-Mobile, which doubled its subscribers and became North America’s third-largest wireless provider under his leadership. He also served as EVP and CIO at Chico’s FAS, Inc., Barnes & Noble, and barnesandnoble.com.
