Kathleen Juezan (BSAc ’14, MAcc ’14), Jane Lastinger (BSAc ’11, MAcc ’11), Samantha Lussier (BSAc ’14, MAcc ’14), Brendan McKitrick (BSAc ’06, MS ISOM ’09)

Kathleen, Jane, Samantha and Brendan all received promotions at James Moore Co., a full-service CPA firm with offices in Daytona Beach, Gainesville and Tallahassee. Jane and Brendan have been promoted to Manager, Samantha is now a Senior Accountant, and Kathleen is now an Associate Accountant.

Wade Swikle (BS ’12, MSE ’13)

Wade and his company, 2 College Brothers Moving & Storage, were featured in the July 18 edition of the Gainesville Sun. Wade’s company helped more than 2,000 people last year—up from 300 in 2013. The company recently moved into a 4,000-square-foot office and warehouse space in the Northwest Commercial Center on Northwest 53rd Avenue in Gainesville.

Josh Espinosa (MSM ’06, MIB ’11)

Josh joined Ciccarelli Advisory Services as a Financial Advisor. Based in Naples, Fla., Josh will play an integral role in designing, coordinating, and implementing comprehensive financial plans. Prior to joining Ciccarelli, Josh was an Investment Portfolio Analyst and Due Diligence Analyst at Raymond James. He holds Series 7 and 66 securities registrations, as well as Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) certification.

Alyse Reiser Comiter (BSAc ’07, MAcc ’07, JD ’10)

Alyse successfully graduated from the 2015-16 class (Florida chapter) of the Florida Fellows Institute of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). ACTEC is a national organization of approximately 2,600 lawyers elected to membership based on demonstrated competence and experience as trust and estate counselors, integrity and commitment to the profession. Alyse is an Associate in Gunster’s West Palm Beach office, and focuses her practice on all aspects of estate planning. Alyse and her husband, Matt (BSBA ’07, LL.M. ’12), also an attorney at Gunster welcomed twin girls in August.

Beau Baker (BSBA ’03, JD ’06)

Beau was named a Partner of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough’s Jacksonville office. Beau’s practice focuses on the areas of real estate capital markets, financial services, structured and commercial finance, creditors' rights, servicing, and financial restructuring.

Vilmos Misangyi (Ph.D. ’02)

Vilmos was recently named Chair of the Department of Management and Organization at Penn State University’s Smeal College of Business. He teaches core strategic management courses in the College’s MBA and Executive MBA Programs, and his research takes a social and behavioral approach to examining how executive and organizational actions influence, and are influenced by, their surrounding environments. Vilmos currently serves on the Editorial Review Boards of the Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Journal, and the Strategic Management Journal.

W. Stephen Hagenbuckle (BSBA ’85)

Steve was profiled in the July 11 edition of the Naples Daily News’ “Executive Suite.” The story chronicled Steve’s early days—he was delivering newspapers at age 11—to his incredible rise in the commercial real estate industry. Steve is the Founder and Managing Partner of TerraCap Management, which has raised more than $250 million in investor capital and invested more than $550 million in the past seven years.

Craig Hill (BSAc ’81)

Craig was named Chief Financial Officer of Engage PEO, which provides HR outsourcing solutions to small and mid-sized businesses across the U.S. In his role, Craig will be responsible for all financial aspects of the company, including strategy, planning, and management. He is based in the company’s National Operations Center in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Joseph Peyrefitte (BSAc '80)

Joseph was appointed Chair of the Department of Management and International Business at the University of Southern Mississippi's College of Business. His research interests include managerial and organizational cognition, communication and symbolism, and stakeholder management. He's been a member of the College's faculty since 2002.

Michael Furen (BSBA ’62, JD ’66)

Michael was recently recognized as a 50-year member of The Florida Bar. Michael, a Shareholder at Icard Merrill, has a successful practice that specializes in land use, development, real property, and administrative and governmental law. Michael has served as Icard Merrill’s Chairman of the Board since 1993, and is based in the firm’s Sarasota office.
