Jeff Holding (BSBA ’83, MBA ’85) and A.J. Belt (BSBA ’07)

Jeff and A.J. both recently joined Cushman & Wakefield, a global commercial real estate services company. Jeff is an Executive Director based in the firm’s downtown Fort Lauderdale office. Jeff, who previously served as a Senior Vice President at CBRE, has been directly involved in more than 1,000 leasing and/or sales transactions valued at over $1 billion. A.J. is a Director also based in Fort Lauderdale. He was a Senior Associate at CBRE, and focuses on tenant representation services primarily in the downtown and east Fort Lauderdale office markets.

Jordan Myers (BSBA ’05)

Jordan recently joined Alston & Bird LLP as Counsel in its Finance Group in Atlanta. Jordan focuses his practice on structuring and restructuring financing transactions and resolving related disputes. Alston & Bird’s Finance Practice comprises attorneys in Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York and Washington, D.C., who focus on representing financial institutions, underwriters, alternative investment funds and vehicles and other providers and servicers of debt capital.

Andrea Cookhorn (BSBA ’00)

Andrea was named Director of Business Development at Circle of One Marketing, a full-service marketing, public relations and advertising agency in Miami. Among her responsibilities are identifying, assessing, and developing new business opportunities, and assisting the company in acquiring federal and local government contracts. Andrea previously served as Senior Satellite and Production Coordinator at Vista Worldlink, Production Assistant for Junket Productions and Solutions Manager for Clear Channel.

Scott Carr (BSBA ’95, MS ’97)

Scott was named Executive Associate Athletic Director and Chief Marketing Officer at the University of Central Florida, and will oversee the athletics program’s Communications, Fan Development and Video Services units. Scott, a Gainesville native, previously served as Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs at Auburn University.

Ken Murray (MBA ’90)

Ken was recently named Chief Marketing Officer at BFS Capital, a leading technology-enabled small business financing platform based in Coral Springs. Ken has more than 25 years of leadership experience in financial services, and leads the company’s customer acquisition, loyalty marketing, brand, public relations and customer experience efforts. Prior to his new position at BFS Capital, Ken was Head of Digital Products at Farmers Insurance Group.

Mike Hancock (BSBA ’83)

Mike is proud to be named President of The Carrollwood Bar Association. Established in 2000, the mission of the Carrollwood Bar Association is to serve its members and the residents of the Carrollwood area by fostering respect for the law. Mike specializes in personal injury litigation, and has been in practice for over 27 years. He also serves as Legal Counsel on the Board of Directors for Carrollwood Civic Association.

Bill Taulbee (BSBA ’83)

Bill was named Chief Executive Officer and President of Lykes Insurance, a premier commercial insurance firm with offices in Winter Park, Tampa, Fort Myers and Sarasota. He previously served as Executive Vice President of the firm’s Winter Park office. Bill joined Lykes Insurance in 1985 and, with the exception of a six-year period as Vice President and Chief Operating Office of Dulando/Sunrise National Distributors, has held leadership positions with Lykes Insurance ever since. His son, Preston (BS ’14), is a UF graduate.

Leonard Johnson (BSBA ’78, JD ’80) and Marsha Powers (MBA ’79)

Leonard and Marsha were both appointed to the University of Florida Board of Trustees. Leonard practices law in the Tampa Bay area with a focus on real estate law, business law, banking law, construction law, and land use and development law. Marsha is Chief Executive Officer for Tenet Healthcare’s Florida Region, where she is responsible for directing the strategy and operations for 10 acute-care hospitals in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.

Robert Stilley (BSBA ’78)

Robert was reappointed to Board of Trustees at Florida Atlantic University for a second five-year term. He is the President and Chief Executive Officer of HeartCare Imaging, a leader in providing diagnostic imaging services to hospitals and universities across the nation. Robert, who has been a Bull Gator for 10-plus years, also serves on the Boards of Jupiter Medical Center and the Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institution Foundations, as well as UF’s Cancer Center Leadership Council. He and his family reside in Tequesta, Fla. His daughter, Samantha, is a freshman in UF’s Honors Program.

Richard “Dick” Baker (BSBA ’68)

Dick was appointed to the Board of Trustees at the University of West Florida. He is the Director of Human Resources for the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, a minor league baseball team that is the Double-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. Dick, who also serves on the Boards of Directors of Sacred Heart Health System and of the Institute of Human & Machine Cognition, spent the majority of his career in banking and real estate development in the Pensacola area. His stepson, Daniel Johnson (BSAC ’09, MAcc ’11), received two degrees from the Fisher School of Accounting.
