Todd Blake (BABA ’14)

Todd was recently featured in an Aug. 6 article by People Magazine. Todd co-founded Live For Today, a foundation dedicated to assisting young adults battling cancer. Todd graduated from the College’s Online Business Program with a perfect 4.0 GPA while battling stage 4 Hodgkin lymphoma.

Mikey Lickstein (BABA ’13, MSE ’14)

Mikey's startup venture, SiliDog, was featured in an Aug. 10 article in the Miami New Times. SiliDog produces silicone dog tags that are more durable and quiet than traditional metal dog tags. SiliDog donates a portion of its proceeds to various charities including the Susan G. Komen Foundation and animal welfare associations among others.

Danny Renfro (BSBA ’07)

Danny, a Partner at Matthew Development, a full-service real estate investment firm in Viera, Fla., was featured in a July 31 article in Florida Today. Danny, along with Matthew Development Partner Matt Williams, played key roles in recruiting Wawa, a major gas station/convenience store chain in the Mid-Atlantic, to Melbourne.

Nicholas J. Grimaudo (BA ’05, MSM ’06, JD ’09, LLM ’10) and Thomas D. Sims (BSAc ’03, MAcc ’03, LLM ’14)

Nicholas and Thomas, attorneys at Johnson Pope, were accepted into the inaugural class of the Florida Fellows Institute of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, which was created to develop the profession’s future leaders in trust and estate law. Nicholas is based in Johnson Pope’s Clearwater office while Thomas is based in the firm’s St. Petersburg office.

Collin Austin (BABA ’04)

Collin is the Owner of New Scooters 4 Less, which opened a second location in Gainesville in August. The business first opened in 2004, and is a leading provider of scooters to UF students. The new location is located at 633 NW 13 St.

Shea Smith (BSAc, ’99, MAcc ’01)

Shea was recently promoted to Director in the Audit and Attest practice at Berkowitz Pollack Brant Advisors and Accountants, a certified public accounting firm with offices in Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton. Shea, who has been with the firm since 2003, focuses his practice on real estate industry issues and works with some of South Florida’s largest developers.

Silvia Chestnut Evans (BSBA ’83)

Silvia was recently appointed Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Milagro Center, a non-profit agency in Delray Beach, Fla., whose mission is to enrich the lives of children through cultural arts, living values and academic support. Silvia, who is the President of Palm Beach Accounting and Financial Services, was also featured in the South Florida Sun-Sentinel on Sept. 17.
