Orchestrating Change

For those who think industry conferences are all the same, next week’s Retail Smarter Conference should be music to their ears.

The 2015 Retail Smarter Conference, sponsored by the David F. Miller Center for Retailing Education & Research, will feature The Music Paradigm, an innovative experience where participants—seated inches away from musicians in a live symphony orchestra—learn vital lessons about organizational dynamics and leadership.

The Music Paradigm devises interactive experiences for the musicians and the participants that highlight some of the most critical issues involving businesses. The sessions are customized for each organization to make tailored and indelible impacts.

The Miller Center joins an impressive list of companies and organizations that have hosted The Music Paradigm, including Bank of America, Boeing, Columbia Business School, Deloitte, Deutsche Bank, ExxonMobil, Goldman Sachs, Kellogg Company, Lockheed Martin, Macy’s, Microsoft, PepsiCo and Sony.

In addition to The Music Paradigm, the conference will host a knowledgeable panel of presenters. Those scheduled to present are:

  • Richard M. Ashworth, President, Pharmacy & Retail Operations, Walgreens.
