Alicia will be graduating from Georgetown University Law Center in May 2015 with her Juris Doctorate Degree. This fall, she will begin working as an Associate in the Washington D.C. office of Dechert LLP as a corporate attorney.
Jason was named Chief Financial Officer of Silver Airways where he will direct and oversee all aspects of the airline’s financial activities. Jason most recently served as CFO of All Aboard Florida where he was instrumental in raising more than $400 million to finance the initial development of the country’s first private, high-speed rail line.
David has retired from Invivo, a Philips Healthcare company, and has been appointed as a Mentor In Residence at the Florida Innovation Hub at UF. He will be mentoring Incubator Hub Tenants, Hatchery Members and Affiliate Members to create, expand and maintain a successful startup business.
Evan Tyroler and Rachel Grunberger were married Feb. 15 at B’nai Israel Congregation in Rockville, Md. Evan is a Vice President for Project and Development Services at DTZ Commercial Real Estate in Washington D.C. Rachel is a staff lawyer in the general counsel’s office at the Department of Health and Human Services in Washington D.C.
Matthew and Jennifer were both appointed Vice Presidents at Advanced Disposal, the largest, privately-owned environmental services company in the U.S. Matthew was named VP of Finance and Investor Relations, where he is responsible for financial planning and analysis, treasury, and investor relations. Jennifer was promoted to VP of Financial Reporting. Her responsibilities include SEC compliance, technical accounting, enterprise risk management and financial reporting.
Cory was named Vice President of Finance/Controller at Butler Enterprises where he will oversee all of the company’s financial matters and accounting operations. He most recently served as Director of Financial Operations at Federal Realty Investment Trust in Rockville, Md.
Guillermo is a Partner and Founder of Chacon Diaz & Di Virgilio Wealth Management, which was named to the inaugural 2015 Gator100. Guillermo specializes in executive compensation, portfolio management, and securities analysis.
David was recently admitted as a Partner of Huppert & Huppert CPA in Southwest Ranches, Fla. He joined the firm in 2005, specializing in accounting and taxation for domestic and international clients.
Jennifer recently joined CS&L CPAs, a certified public accounting firm with offices in Bradenton and Sarasota, as a Tax Supervisor. Her experience includes the U.S. income tax with respect to Individuals, both Citizens abroad and NonResident aliens with U.S.-sourced income. In addition to individual taxation, she also works with business entities: S Corporations, Partnerships and C Corporation as well as Fiduciaries: Estates and Trusts. She is an enrolled agent and is pursuing her CPA license.
Sandy was recently appointed Vice President and General Manager of Lockheed Martin Commercial Flight Training (LMCFT), formerly known as Sim-Industries. Sandy previously served as Vice President of Operations for Lockheed Martin’s Information Systems & Global Solutions Civil line of business.
Michael was named the University of Florida’s Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in March. Michael served in that position on an interim basis since June 2014. He previously served as UF’s Assistant Vice President and Controller beginning in 2003.
Steve and his wife, Judy, will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on April 23. Steve says the couple is enjoying their retirement with frequent travel and spending time with their four grandsons. Steve retired as Controller at Carespring Health Care Management. He is also a retired Colonel in U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.
