Lesley Davidson (MBA ’13)

Lesley, a graduate from the Executive MBA program, has been appointed Vice President of Engineering & Technical Matters for Quick Tie Products, Inc., a structural component manufacturing firm headquartered in Jacksonville. Lesley will be responsible for overseeing Quick Tie’s engineering department’s management and growth, developing new products, as well as exporting products to Australia. She is an active participant in engineering societies, such as the Florida Engineering Society where she chairs the Constructed Environment Committee.

Michael Perry (MSRE ’13)

Michael was recently named Director of the Tampa Region for Front Street Real Estate Group. Michael, a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), specializes in tenant, landlord, acquisition, and disposition services.

Roger Catchpole (MBA ’12)

Roger was featured in the Oct. 26 edition of The Gainesville Sun. Roger is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Sporting Odyssey and Sportody.com, a website designed for outdoor sports travelers. Outdoor enthusiasts can reserve outdoor sporting trips, read independent reviews of trips and products, and promote their own sporting odysseys on the site.

Brent Healy (MBA ’12)

Brent joined Valintry, a fast-growing technology and marketing staffing and consulting firm, as its new Vice President of Marketing. Based in Valintry’s Orlando office, he will lead Valintry’s digital marketing consulting group, and is responsible for providing customers direction in achieving their social media, lead generation, and search engine marketing goals.

Sue Washer (MBA ’92)

Sue is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Applied Genetic Technologies Corporation (AGTC), which recently received BioFlorida’s 2014 David J. Gury Company of the Year Award. AGTC develops adeno-associated virus (AAV)-based gene therapies for the treatment of rare eye diseases.

Nermine Khouzam Rubin (BS ’83, MBA ’86, MHS ’86)

Returning to the workforce after being a “stay-at-home mom”, Nermine is currently involved in launching Thermal Balance Products' Patented Thermal Cycling Process. The proprietary temperature modulation process (best described as “advanced cryogenics”), improves the performance, strength and longevity of a variety of materials, including metals, certain plastics, polymers and composites.

Robert Utsey (BSBA ’82)

The Orlando Economic Development Commission (EDC) has named Robert, a senior vice president with Skanska, as secretary/treasurer of its 2014-15 Board of Directors. Skanska is among Florida’s largest construction and development firms. Robert has been an active member of the Orlando EDC Board for six years. The Orlando EDC plays an integral role in encouraging the recruitment of new companies to the Orlando region and in fueling the creation of a skilled workforce.

Mark Schlander (BSBA ’80)

Mark was selected for the "Best of IBM" award in 2014. He is an IBM Business Development Executive working with Fortune 500 clients. Mark was one of 500 IBM employees selected for the award. IBM employs 440,000 scientists, researchers, sales, delivery, consultants and product specialists.
