Jarrod Schilling (BSBA ’07, MSF ’08, MSE ’14)

Jarrod, along with fellow MSE 2014 graduate, Samantha Rosenbaum, have launched a new wearable technology company, WOOband. WOOband is a stylish wristband that connects to any Bluetooth enabled phone. When the user becomes separated from their phone, the WOOband lights up and vibrates to remind them to turn around and grab the phone before it is lost forever.

Kevin Reilly (BA ’08, MSM ’09)

Kevin was recognized as one of SaintPetersBlog’s “30 Under 30 Rising Stars in Florida Politics.” Kevin, who served as UF Student Body President in 2008-09, has worked as an aide for Florida House Representative and UF alumnus John Tobia, the Republican Party of Florida and the Florida Department of Elder Affairs. He is currently the Director of Legislative Affairs for the Florida Commission On Offender Review (formerly the Florida Parole Commission).

Michelle Johnston (PDB, ’08)

Michelle, a graduate of the Hough School’s Post-Doctoral Bridge program, was appointed President of the University of Rio Grande and Rio Grande Community College (Ohio) on Sept. 2. Michelle, who became Rio Grande’s second female president in its 138-year history, previously served as Senior Vice President for Administrative Affairs at the University of Montevallo (Ala.).

Scott Merl (BA ’08, BABA ’08)

Scott has opened his own law firm—Scott Merl, P.A.—located in Miami at 3006 Aviation Avenue, Suite 4B. Scott’s firm focuses on Personal Injury, Family Law, and Unclaimed Property through the State of Florida. The firm’s website is www.scottmerllaw.com.

Charlie Kleeman (BA ’03, BSBA ’03)

Charlie, a Senior Financial Analyst for Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, has been named to the Jacksonville Public Library Board of Library Trustees. Charlie has an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business with specializations in quantitative finance and corporate finance, and is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

Bruce Brandes (BSBA ’88)

Bruce was named Managing Director of Martin Ventures (formerly The Martin Companies) in Nashville. He has more than 25 years of experience in executive management and thought leadership, delivering innovative technologies and services to clinical and financial outcomes in health care. Bruce most recently served as Executive Vice President of Growth and Innovation for Valence Health, Inc.
