Session Attendance

Employers will host 50-minute career focused sessions spanning a variety of topics. Heavener students are encouraged to attend as many sessions possible over the four-day event. Employer topics range from career path opportunities, exploring industries, and finding a fit within company culture. All sessions provide a chance to network with professionals in your major and build relationships with top recruiters. Which sessions will you attend?

Admission

HCW is an exclusive Warrington event designed for business and accounting majors only. Non-Warrington students are not allowed to attend. Although business casual dress is required, students are encouraged to dress business professional. A valid Gator1 ID card is required for entry at all HCW sessions and events.

FREE Student Lunches!

Want a free lunch everyday for a week? Each Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday @ 12:45pm during HCW one sponsoring company will generously provide a free catered lunch to the first 150 students. Past restaurant partners include Moes, Chic-fil-A, and Adam’s Ribs Company. Check our downloadable guidebook for company lunch sponsors; recruiters on-hand during all lunches to discuss internships & full-time roles.

Diversity Mixer Exclusively for Warrington Scholars

Every Monday evening of HCW, diverse students are strongly encouraged to attend a private mixer held exclusively for business and accounting students. A multicultural event welcoming students of all backgrounds and cultures, over 25 companies are actively looking to hire students of color, Hispanic students, women, and other diverse students. Looking for an internship or job? We got your covered. This event is an open invite to any diverse Warrington student.

Why should I attend?

Employers want to help you develop professionally and potentially offer you an internship or job interview. Undecided students can identify career paths within their academic major and network with top recruiters.

What is the cost to attend?

The Heavener Career Week is free for any Warrington students. Before session attendance, all students must first check-in at the HCW welcome desk, located next to the Rising Roll restaurant inside Heavener Hall.

How many sessions can I attend?

Students are encouraged to attend as many sessions as possible. Each session has an enrollment cap of 40 students, so it's important to arrive early to find a seat.

Should I attend sessions on only one day?

Nope! HCW runs Monday, Wed, Thu, and Fri. Students are encouraged to attend as many 50-minute sessions as possible over this four day period.

What is the dress code?

Business professional is preferred, business casual is required at minimum. Remember, you are interacting with recruiters and industry professionals who could help launch your career, so dress to impress. If a company is attending you desire to work for, Heavener strongly advises you dress business professional.

Do I need my Gator1 ID card for admission?

Yes! Admission into the event requires your Gator1 ID card. In addition, each session room will have a card ID swipe, so Warrington students must have their Gator1 ID card with them at all times to be admitted into any HCW event.
