Credits and Grades
Credit Conversions
Students who attend an exchange program will be issued a foreign transcript. The University of Florida will convert these credits into UF credits. Credit conversion varies between schools and countries. Please check the exchange program information page of the school you will be attending for further details on credit conversions.
Students who attend a transfer program will be issued a transcript by the university or company that provided the study abroad program. Usually, the university or study abroad provider will determine the credit hour conversions UF should award.
Grade Equivalency
Grades earned at international exchange schools will be converted to equivalent UF letter grades. Grades earned on an exchange program will affect a student's UF GPA. Please check the exchange program information page of the school you will be attending for further details on grade conversions.
Grades earned on a transfer program will not affect a student's UF GPA. But, these grades will be posted on a student's UF transcript. If courses are taken for the business core or major, the grades earned will be used to calculate graduation requirements GPA's.
