Personal Attention
One unique aspect of your Warrington Welcome class is your Peer Leader. Your Peer Leader is an undergraduate student in the Warrington College of Business Administration who will help facilitate your course. Not only do Peer Leaders aid in course instruction, but they also serve as a key resource for undergraduate students. Having experienced many of the same things that you will experience over the next four years, your Peer Leader will be able to provide you with the keys to a successful college experience.
Professional Development
Students who enroll in Warrington Welcome have the unique opportunity to participate in the Enactus Warrington Welcome Ethics Case Competition. This case competition places students in the middle of a real-world ethical dilemma. Students are challenged to work as a team to come up with a creative and ethical solution, which they present to judges from Enactus and various community organizations. The winning teams receive cash prizes, but all students gain invaluable real-world experience in only their first semester at the University of Florida.
Community Involvement
Do you want to make a difference in the first semester of your College experience? That is exactly what students in Warrington Welcome do through their class service project. These projects provide wonderful assistance to their new community while giving students an opportunity to bond with one another.
Lasting Friendships
"Due to the small class size, I became very close with my peers. It was comforting to be in a classroom filled with intelligent students who had similar career goals in the business world. To this day, I still keep in touch with my classmates from Warrington Welcome and am not surprised that they have leadership positions all throughout campus." - Rajiv A.
"Warrington Welcome is an outstanding opportunity to begin developing your professional and social network at the University of Florida. Even as a senior, I consistently work with many of my WW classmates in student organizations and leadership programs, as well as in the classroom. More importantly, many of these professional relationships have turned into friendships that will most certainly extend beyond UF. I look forward to utilizing this network in future projects and ventures after graduation." - Daniel P.
