Proud To Be A Florida Gator

Meet Jasmine

Being accepted into UF was the greatest day in the world to me...It also was my ticket out...It was my way to prove to myself that I can make it on my own.

Help make another Warrington Story a reality.

Make a Gift

I'm Jasmine Dareus, a freshman at the Warrington College of Business. They say "It's Great to Be a Florida Gator"—and I'm living proof.

I'm a first-generation American— born and raised in Tampa after my parents emigrated from Haiti. I learned the value of hard work at a young age helping my mother sell refurbished shoes at a local flea market.

High school was not an easy time for me. I faced problems that most high school students should never have to deal with. These were the hard times.

It's amazing what a change of scenery does! Warrington has become my sanctuary, a place to escape the pressures and challenge myself. I know I'll do great things thanks to my UF business education.

My journey has had its share of setbacks; it's been a struggle to get here. But now that I'm here, I won't let anything stop me. It means everything to me to be just like you...

A Gator.
