Hall of Fame

The WCBA Hall of Fame is reserved for those students who have shown truly superior leadership and achievement through their activities and scholarship while members of the WCBA community. Through their academic achievements and involvement as student leaders, it is clear to all who encounter them that they have set themselves apart from other outstanding student leaders and are especially deserving of this unique honor.

Student Organization Awards

Student Organization of the Year

This award is presented to the recognized student organization which, through activities and projects, has had the most significant positive influence on the WCBA and the surrounding community. This award is based on the quality of campus events held, servant leadership endeavors, involvement with campus events, and/or initiative to further advance the education of WCBA students beyond the classroom. Nominee must be a recognized student organization in good standing with the Student Activities Center.

Student Organization Advisor of the Year

This award is presented to a WCBA student organization advisor who has gone above and beyond the basic requirements of a club/organization advisor.

Outstanding Program of the Year

This award is presented to the WCBA organization which sponsored the most innovative project or program which primarily benefited the members of the organization, College, or University. Projects or programs that took place between August 25, 2008 and March 1, 2009 are eligible for consideration. Two awards will be given: one for programs with a budget exceeding $250 and another for programs with overall budgets below $250.

Outstanding Service Project of the Year

This award is presented to the student organization which recognizes a responsibility to give their time and energy to improve their community. Any project that provides support to the Gainesville community will be considered. The project should be a one day or ongoing community service project not simply a fundraiser. Projects taking place after August 25, 2008 are eligible for consideration.

Most Improved Student Organization of the Year

This award is presented to the student organization that has increased its membership, involvement with campus life, and its activities from the previous year.

New Student Organization of the Year

This award is presented to the student organization which has been a registered organization less than two academic years and has increased its membership, involvement with campus life, and its activities from the previous year.

Distinction in Student Leadership and Service

This award is presented to a student who has demonstrated outstanding leadership and service to the College through participation in student organizations and other extracurricular activities. This student will have demonstrated a strong commitment to the College and have made a significant positive impact on its students. Nominee must have 90 or more credit hours earned at UF and in good standing with the University.
