Programs for Students

Strengths Based Leadership*
September 13 | 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm | 411 Peabody Hall

Participants will learn how to be a more effective leader by successfully utilizing their Strengths, utilizing the Strengths of those on their team, and by meeting the four basic needs of their followers and team. Participants should come prepared to engage in interactive discussion and activities. RSVP to by September 12th.

Uncovering Natural Talent**
September 14 | 2 pm – 3:30 pm | 202 Peabody Hall

First Year Florida Workshop Series – register at dso.ufl.edu/nsp/workshops The first 20 students to register and contact Leslie Pendleton at will receive a free code to take the StrengthsFinder personal assessment. Be sure to contact Leslie at least 3 days in advance of the workshop. In this workshop, you'll learn about your natural talents and how you can apply those talents to your major, career goals, and even your relationships with others.

Using Strengths to Make Your Personal Brand Clear, Consistent, & Constant! **
September 14 | 4 pm – 5:00 pm | 232 Bryan Hall

The key to a successful personal brand is making it clear, consistent, and constant. Knowing your strengths gives you a perfect framework for doing all three. In this interactive seminar you will learn how to connect your strengths and your personal brand. RSVP to by September 10.

Strengths-based Resume Writing & Interviewing**
September 15 | 3:00 pm – 3:50 pm | Career Resource Center classroom

Your Strengths at Work: Utilizing your strengths for success

Participants will better understand the use of the strengths philosophy for organizational success and how the StrengthsFinder 2.0 is used in the workplace for leveraging employee talents and creating an engaged workforce.. StrengthsQuest Educator Seminar

December 8
This seminar prepares instructors, advisors, and counselors to use the StrengthsQuest program in the classroom or as part of student activities. Participants will also learn strategies for implementing StrengthsQuest with students or staff. MAP StrengthsQuest (must have completed the StrengthsQuest Educator Seminar)

December 9
Strengths mentors and advisors understand and can explain the subtle, yet predictable link that exists between human behavior and human performance. They connect with those they mentor in a way that is practical and relevant to their lives. Through their efforts, mentors and advisors help others to understand and maximize the unique human potential that each person brings to their roles in school, in work, and in life.
