Outcomes of the Study Abroad Experience
The Institute for the International Education of Students (IES) surveyed students who had studied abroad from 1950 to 1999. Data from over 3,400 respondents demonstrated that studying abroad is a defining moment in a young person's life that impacts four specific areas: Personal Development, Academic Commitment, Intercultural Development, and Career Development.
