The Warrington Diplomats are the Heavener School of Business' official student ambassadors. During the fall and spring semesters (Sept- Apr), they offer tours for prospective students and other guests. Please allow at least one week to schedule your tour/information session.

Admissions

Thank you for considering our school! US News and World Report currently ranks the Heavener School of Business among the top 16 public programs in the nation based on the quality of our students, our outstanding curriculum, faculty engagement, and the broad range of services we provide our students. We are available to answer your questions about admission requirements, majors, and more. Please carefully read the following information and contact us if you have further questions.

Freshman and High School/AA Degree Admissions

Freshman admissions are handled through the UF Office of Admissions. Applications from students who are earning their AA degree while in high school are also processed by the Office of Admissions; however, we encourage you to contact us for information on specific School of Business academic requirements.

Transfer Admissions

The School of Business admits qualified transfer students who have completed an AA or AS degree from a Florida community/state college or who have earned 60+ credit hours from an accredited university.

Online Business Program Admissions (Florida Residents only)

The Online Business Program allows Florida residents who live in Florida to earn a nationally ranked business degree. This degree program is designed for degree-seeking students who live outside of Gainesville or have work and/or family commitments that make traditional campus attendance impractical.

Non-Degree Seeking Students

Generally, you can register as a non-degree seeking student in the summer (not fall and spring terms) if you...

1. Have not previously attended the University of Florida as a degree-seeking student;
2. Have never applied to the University of Florida as a degree-seeking student;
3. Are currently enrolled in a business major at another degree granting institution; and
4. Intend to transfer coursework back to your home institution. A letter from the institution requesting that you be given non-degree status and stating the course(s) that you can take must be included with the non-degree seeking student application.

Students approved for non-degree status can enroll in courses on a space-available basis only during the last day of add/drop. Generally, it is possible to take our electronic platform course offerings; however, if you need to take a specific course for transfer back to your home institution you may wish to explore other alternatives. Transient course work taken at UF will not count toward a UF degree.
