UF Ranked in Entrepreneur magazine
The Warrington College of Business was named one of the best 100 collegiate entrepreneurship programs in the US in the April 2005 issue of Entrepreneur magazine. UF appears in the list of the top 50 regionally recognized academic programs in the country.
 Florida MBA Launches Alumni Relations Program
Melissa Baxley, Associate Director of MBA Alumni Melissa Baxley recently joined the Florida MBA team as the Associate Director of MBA Alumni Relations. While this is a brand new position, dedicated solely to reaching out to our community of nearly 5,000 MBA alums, this is a homecoming for Melissa.

Marketing Faculty Win AMA's 2005 Stern Award
Joe Alba Five members of UF's world-renowned marketing faculty have gained another accolade to add to their already stellar reputations, as the American Marketing Association (AMA) have named them recipients of the 2005 Louis Stern Award.
 Outstanding Teachers Honored
Each year, students of the Warrington College cast their votes for the teachers who exemplify excellence. Florida MBA students in each cohort also had the opportunity to honor their faculty.

MBA Students Compete in National Business Plan Competitions
Erik Morchen - Denis Curcio One of UF's IMBA business plan teams headed to Santa Barbara, Calif. In late March for the finals of the "Entrepreneur Magazine" 2005 SEED Competition. Last year, iMBA student Scott Kissinger finished second at this competition. This year, Erik Morchen and Denis Curcio made it to the second day of presentations (the "Final Four") with their Observer Systems presentation and finished fourth. That's two years in a row for UF in the Final Four!
SIFE Team Trains Local Residents in Nicaragua
SIFE They may have come back with sunburns, but that's about the only similarity between the SIFE Team's spring break and that of the average college student. Members of SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) traveled to Nicaragua to train local residents in business development and computer skills. The SIFE students raised the funds to visit Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua and partnered with the local university to undertake a series of projects on the school's campus.

Jim Karrh When Jim Karrh began his job as Chief Marketing Officer of Mountain Valley Spring Company, he heard a range of professional reactions. "The head of a market-research firm said I really had my work cut out for me, given all the competition in the bottled-water industry," Jim recalls. "Our company's CFO, on the other hand, said I must feel lucky to have such a 'perfect storm' type of marketing opportunity. To a degree, they're both right."
Asia America MultiTechnology Association Appoints William A. Chen (BSBA 1990) as New President
William A. Chen William A. Chen has been chosen to guide The Asia America MultiTechnology Association's (AAMA), 2005 Initiatives to Foster Growth of High-Tech Enterprises.

Bill Hough (MBA 1948) Adds $1 Million to Finance Program in Support of Faculty Challenge
William R. Hough William R. Hough knows a good business deal when he sees one. So, when he saw the opportunity to enhance the finance program that bears his name at UF, and at the same time answer President Bernie Machen's Faculty Challenge, he couldn't pass it up.
Ben Franklin (BSBA 1934) Donates $100,000 to Support Ethics Center
Concerned about the recent ethics scandals in business, alumnus Ben O. Franklin wants to encourage UF students avoid falling into the same trap as they head into the working world.
