The Retail Center undertakes a broad range of activities, including developing retail education programs in for undergraduates, stimulating student interest in retail careers, offering continuing education programs, hosting conferences, sponsoring workshops and seminars, serving as an international resource center for retailing and conducting research on issues of importance to the industry.

This entertaining workshop demonstrates everything from what is expected during business interviews to business dinners and "casual Fridays". Live models exhibit apparel from participating retailers and interact with students on questions of style, fashion and price.

This workshop focuses on dispelling myths about the retailing industry. Descriptions of positions, career paths, pay, work life balance and types of retailers are discussed. All majors are hired into this industry so all are welcome!

This workshop focuses on the purpose of behavioral interviewing and how to prepare for them. Once you understand what the interviewer want sot learn about you through this process, you will be able to perform and get the job offer! Information about the interview process will be discussed. There will be time for Q & A.

Each year the Retail Center offers an executive continuing education symposium specifically designed for retailers.
Semesters
Each semester, the Center for Retailing presents an exciting line-up of speakers from positions in Store Management, Buying and Planning. Weekly lectures feature a different executive making a presentation in his/her area of expertise.
