University of Florida Warrington College of Business Administration Hough Graduate School of Business Department of Management
Ph.D. Students in Management - Hough Graduate School of Business

Program Overview

The Ph.D. in Management is a full time, in residence program with two tracks: micro (with specializations in organizational behavior and human resource management) and macro (with specializations in strategic management and organization theory). Students in the micro track do most of their research with Joyce Bono, Amir Erez, John Kammeyer-Mueller, and Mo Wang. Students in the macro track do most of their research with Gwendolyn Lee, Scott Livengood, and Henry Tosi. The mission of the program is to train students to be academic scholars and to place them at top research universities.

Placements

Florida's Ph.D. placements over the past several years have been among the best in the country. Our recent graduates have joined the faculties at Cornell, Michigan State (on two occasions), Purdue, Iowa, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Arizona, Louisiana State, Rutgers, and West Virginia, among others. Those students have gone on to post productive records at their universities, well on their way to earning promotion and tenure (and, in some cases, earning awards for early career achievement).

How to Apply

We will begin accepting applications for the Fall, 2012 cohort in October, with a January 15th deadline. We anticipate admitting students in both the micro and macro tracks. More details on the application process can be found at the links below.
