Teaching Excellence and Assessment

The Teaching Excellence and Assessment team at the Warrington College of Business Administration is dedicated to the support and enhancement of teaching and learning in the College's face-to-face, blended, and online courses. Accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the college also provides support through this office to faculty in developing and maintaining a robust assessment plan to ensure continuous learning.

To accomplish this mission, the following goals guide our activities:

  • Integration of teaching tools and processes based on effective pedagogy into courses and programs
  • Support the development and implementation of instructional approaches and methods
  • Encourage and support the scholarship of teaching and learning, or scholarly inquiry into student learning which advances the practice of teaching
  • On-going discussion between and among faculty about teaching and learning
  • An institutional environment that values and rewards teaching excellence
  • Faculty involvement in mission-driven assessment for the assurance of student learning

The Teaching Excellence and Assessment team members work closely with course instructors to bring together the art and science of teaching for effective student learning.
