Located in the heart of the business district and next to Grenoble's World Trade Centre, ESC Grenoble is a major player in European and international affairs. A top-ten French business school, ESC Grenoble has designed the Undergraduate Program in International Business for students who wish to enhance their knowledge of international business, management, international culture, and foreign language. The School will provide you with an enriching learning experience in multicultural groups and in a business environment of multinational companies.

The School

Grenoble is a private institution founded in 1984 by the Grenoble Chamber of Commerce and Industry. EM Grenoble brings in over 300 exchange students per year. EM Grenoble is only a business school and offers programs from the undergraduate to the Doctoral level. The school is housed in a large, modern, corporate-style building that also houses the library and technology centers, and a new addition was just completed in summer 2007. The school is in the heart of the city adjacent to the main train station and many cafes and pubs.

The City

Grenoble is a dynamic city of 500,000 inhabitants in southeastern France. Grenoble is one of France's foremost international cities. Nestled in the French Alps, it was the host of the 1968 Winter Olympics. With more than 40,000 students, 8,000 researchers, and companies such as Caterpillar, Hewlett-Packard, Rhône-Poulenc, and Schneider Electric, Grenoble is a booming city where technology and education play a major role. Although it is a rather large city in population, it has a very small town feel about it. You can reach Paris in just three hours by high-speed train and Italy in just two hours. Geneva is less than two hours away. Outdoor activities abound, especially skiing in the winter and early spring months. There are museums, theaters, and numerous shopping centers and cafes. Students are all over the city and the nightlife is active. Students fly into Lyon and take a shuttle bus or train to the school.
