“The thing that stands out about the UF PhD program is the convergence of top faculty who all make the PhD program one of their top priorities. UF has some of the most respected faculty members in the field, and it’s really rare for such faculty to focus so much of their time and attention on PhD students. The faculty really mentor students in all aspects of the PhD process, and this is reflected in the quality of student that the program produces. Faculty also place a high priority on working with students on research, which really gives students an advantage when it comes to the job market. Overall, I cannot say enough positive things about my experience in the UF PhD program.”

“I highly appreciate my experience in the management PhD program at University of Florida, as the program is 100% dedicated to preparing its students for a successful academic career. Faculty members here are not only productive themselves, but are also willing to invest extensively in mentoring and collaborating with students from the first day students join the program. Other positive aspects of the program include a well-designed course curriculum, which provides students with cutting-edge training on both substantial content areas and research methods, very generous financial support, and a highly collegial group of fellow students who are willing to keep you company along the five-year journey.”

“Based on my experience, I can think of two reasons as to why I strongly recommend the Management PhD program at Florida. First, the faculty there are truly committed to mentoring, training, and collaborating with students. Not only was my advisor deeply invested in my development, but all of the faculty in the department seemed to have a vested interest in my progression from being a student to a professor. Second, the faculty at Florida helped to ensure that I was 100% ready for competing for top jobs on the academic market. The faculty members are not only exceptional at what they do, they are able and willing to teach students how to do it as well. That's easy: The management department is one of the most research-productive departments in the country (so you will leave here well trained and published!) and the city of Gainesville is one of the most affordable places to live in the country (so you will actually be able to live comfortably while you are a graduate student!).”
