Step 1: Online Application

Complete the online application to the University of Florida Graduate School

As part of that online application, write your Academic Statement of Purpose. This essay should convey why you want to pursue a Ph.D. in Accounting at the University of Florida, and what your career goals are after graduating from the program. Note that the online interface limits your statement to around a single-spaced page in length.

Request 3 letters of recommendation online. Letters should be written by faculty or persons that can speak to your ability to pursue Ph.D. studies. Note that requests for recommendation are not sent to your referees until after you submit the online application.

Pay application fee online. The fee is $30.00 (plus $1.75 processing fee) for both U.S. citizens and International applicants. Fee waivers cannot be granted.
Step 2: Official Test Score Report

Submit official GMAT scores through the respective testing service website. Send GMAT scores to institution code J7Z-5J-13, "University of Florida - Warrington College of Business - PhD in Accounting". The scores must be less than 3 years old to be valid. Applicants with scores older than 3 years will need to retake the test. Please also note your scores in your online application.

For International applicants, submit official TOEFL scores through the respective testing service website. Send TOEFL scores to institution code 5812. The school requires a total score of 91, including a minimum of 26 on the speaking section.
Step 3: Additional Document Submission
Mail a copy of your application forms, unofficial copies of your transcripts and scores, resume, and personal statement to Tracy Thompson, Program Assistant, P.O. Box 117166, Gainesville, FL 32611-7166.
