On-Campus Traditional Master of Science in Entrepreneurship

The Traditional MSE is a one-year on-campus program designed for young, aspiring entrepreneurs who have recently earned their bachelor's degree. Offered to both business and non-business majors alike, the program is a combination of classroom delivery and experiential learning activities. Much of the program's curriculum focuses on opportunity assessment, business plan development, and the sourcing of capital. Upon completion of the program, graduates will be able to effectively initiate, develop, grow and manage new ventures, either as start-ups or in the corporate environment.

The Ideal Student

Students wanting to pursue a master's degree immediately following the completion of their undergraduate degree. The program is ideal for students that wish to start their own business or innovate within an existing business or corporation.

Accounting Preparation

In order to ease some of the pressure of graduate school as you start your MSE program, you must do some preliminary background work in introductory accounting before arriving on campus. The document below outlines what preparation is expected of you when you begin your accounting coursework.

Global Entrepreneurship Study Program

A brief but intensive international immersion experience designed to enhance understanding of the global nature of entrepreneurship. In visits to international centers of business and innovation, students will participate in briefings and site visits with governmental and economic development institutions, small business incubators and innovation accelerators, family businesses, corporate intrapreneurs and entrepreneurial social organizations.

Admission Requirements

All Applicants Must Meet the Following Criteria:

  • Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (or an international equivalent).
  • Have less than two years of professional work experience.
  • Have an official GMAT or GRE score. No exceptions.

Payment of the $350.00 program fee and the submission of a copy of a valid passport/visa is due upon acceptance to the program.

Program Costs:

All costs are estimated for the entire program. (based on 2007/2008 academic year)

Non-Refundable Program Fee:
  • $350.00 (due when student accepts program offer)
Total Program Tuition:
  • In-state: $10,239 (30 credits x $341.29/credit) plus course fees
  • Out-of-State: $27,884 (28 credits x $971.48/credit PLUS 2 credits x $341.29)*
* Please note that the 2 study tour credits are charged at the in-state rate, regardless of residency classification.
Required Global Entrepreneurship Study Program:
  • $3,000 (includes $1800 program fee plus estimates for airfare, food and incidentals)

Other Costs:

All costs are estimated for the entire program. (based on university 2007/2008 cost of attendance)

  • Total Books and Supplies: $1,500
  • Computer Costs: $1,500
  • Housing and Meals: $10,000

Computing Requirements

Admitted students must have a laptop computer that meets the Warrington College of Business Administration laptop requirements prior to the start of the program.
