Weekend Professional Master of Science in Entrepreneurship

Meeting one weekend per month, the Professional MSE program is designed for working professionals involved in start-up ventures, small and family businesses, venture capital management, corporate management, and business development. Program curriculum is suitable for professional work fields and specializations in which there is a need for informed decision making, innovative management, and value generation. Participants will be given a cutting-edge education in entrepreneurial and innovative business practices which will aid in the successful creation of new ventures and ventures within the corporate environment.

The Ideal Student

A wide array of individuals with vastly different backgrounds and diverse needs will benefit significantly from this exciting program. Ideally, the program candidate will be interested in pursuing or boosting their career in one of the following positions:

  • Business development managers in medium to large corporations.
  • Professional practice heads such as lawyers, physicians, dentists, veterinarians, accountants and others.
  • Owners of small and family businesses.
  • Inventors, scientists and product development specialists.
  • Angel investors or individuals interested in personal wealth enhancement.
  • Venture capitalists.
  • Current or prospective entrepreneurs.

Accounting Preparation

In order to ease some of the pressure of graduate school as you start your MSE program, you must do some preliminary background work in introductory accounting before arriving on campus. The document below outlines what preparation is expected of you when you begin your accounting coursework.

Global Entrepreneurship Study Program

(Optional)

A brief but intensive international immersion experience designed to enhance understanding of the global nature of entrepreneurship. In visits to international centers of business and innovation, students will participate in briefings and site visits with governmental and economic development institutions, small business incubators and innovation accelerators, family businesses, corporate intrapreneurs and entrepreneurial social organizations.

Admission Requirements

All Applicants Must Meet the Following Criteria.

  • Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (or an international equivalent).
  • Have at least two years of professional work experience.
  • Have an official GMAT or GRE exam score. Those applicants with advanced degrees may be exempt from taking the exam.

Program Costs

Tuition: $18,000.00
Application Fee: $500.00
Total: $18,500.00

  • A non-refundable $1000.00 deposit is due within 2 weeks of acceptance to the program. This payment includes the $500.00 fee.
  • Books, materials, refreshments, luncheons, occasional program receptions and/or events that include alumni, student guests, or other persons the program office invites are included in the tuition fees.
  • Students must pay for their hotel rooms and laptops if necessary. The program office can provide local hotel information.

Financial aid may be available to help cover the costs associated with the program.

Computing Requirements

Admitted students must have a laptop computer that meets the Warrington College of Business Administration laptop requirements prior to the start of the program.
