Financial Aid
More than 70% of University of Florida students receive some sort of monetary assistance through the Office for Student Financial Affairs (SFA).
You can eliminate some potential frustration and help the process go smoothly by applying early and taking time to carefully read the following information.
Keep addresses updated with the Registrar's Office. All correspondences (and checks) are mailed to addresses on file with that office.
Students in ALL MSE programs are eligible to apply for federal student loans.
No federal or state loan or grant programs exist for international students. International students must be able to pay the cost of tuition and living expenses.
Students must fill out the current year financial aid applications in order to get aid for the summer. For fall and spring, an application for the next school year must be filled out.
Scholarships
Each year, the MSE program is fortunate to have a small amount of money available for scholarships for students enrolling in the On-Campus Traditional track of the Thomas S. Johnson Master of Science in Entrepreneurship program (we regret that we are unable to offer any scholarships or financial aid for non-U.S. citizens).
These scholarships are directly supported by the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Fellowship Fund and the Kristin M. Beach and Connie A. Lyons Memorial Endowment. It is expected that these funds will be used to help students pay for their academic experience here on campus. The standard award is $500. We are usually able to award scholarships to four of our MSE students.
There is no additional application process as qualified students are targeted in the admission process or soon after beginning the program. Candidates must have an upper division GPA of 3.5 or better to be considered for the scholarships (we will evaluate all eligible candidates). All scholarships are merit-based and are awarded to the top two men and top two women enrolling in the program taking into account undergraduate GPA, entrance exam scores, letters of recommendation, statements of purpose and experiences to-date.
We do not use Master's level students to teach in our College, therefore we do not offer teaching assistantships or fellowships.
