Biography:
Prior to entering the Ph.D. Program at the University of Florida, Dominique worked two and a half years as a risk manager for Bank Julius Baer & Co Ltd., where he specialized in credit- and market risk. Dominique earned his MSc from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich, majoring in Mathematics. Additionally, he is a CFA Institute member and has successfully completed all three levels of the CFA Program. Dominique's current research interests include asset pricing, corporate finance and risk management.

Biography:
Tom graduated from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville as a Chancellor's Scholar with B.S. degrees in Management Information Systems and Economics. After also earning his M.S. degree in Economics and Finance from SIUE, he joined our program in the Fall of 2007. Tom's current research focuses on the appropriateness of investment options in 401(k) plans and how conflicts of interest within the industry may affect participant investment performance. In general, his research interests include Corporate Finance, Behavioral Finance, Corporate Governance, and the retirement investments industry.

Prior to joining the PhD program at UF in 2011, Maxim attended UF for his B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering and MBA with concentration in Finance.

Biography:
Atay received a BS in Business Administration from Middle East Technical University in Turkey. He holds a MS degree in Economics from Georgia Institute of Technology. Atay joined the program in Fall 2006. His research interests include Corporate Finance, regulations of financial institutions, and corporate governance.

His primary research interests include merger and acquisitions, IPO and capital structure.

Biography:
Sabuhi holds a BBA degree in Economics and Management from Pittsburgh State University and an MBA degree in Finance from the University of Missouri - Columbia. Prior to attending the University of Florida's doctoral program, Sabuhi also worked as a financial analyst for Sprint Corporation's Corporate Financial Planning Division at their headquarters in Kansas City. His research interests include financial economics, international finance, corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions.

Diana has BS degree in Finance and Banking from Beijing Forestry University. Prior to joining the doctor program at the University of Florida, she got her Master of Science degree from Georgia State University, major in Finance. Her current research interests include corporate finance.

Biography:
Prior to entering the Ph.D. program at the University of Florida, Stace received his B.S. in Finance from Florida State University where he was awarded the URCAA National Fellowship for his participation in research of mutual funds. His current research interests are in the areas of asset pricing, investment banking and behavioral finance, with an emphasis on the interaction between inefficiencies in capital markets and corporate financing decisions. Stace also has a special interest in real estate and international markets.

Biography:
Matt earned a B.S. in Finance from Auburn University, where he graduated as a University Honors Scholar after the publication of his honors thesis. He then went on to obtain his M.S. in Mathematical Finance from UNC-Charlotte. Before coming to UF, Matt spent a year as an intern with Nicholas-Applegate Capital Management in San Diego, where he performed research on transaction cost optimization and portfolio factor construction for the company's quantitatively-driven Systematic Equity strategies. Matt's current research interests include hedge funds and market microstructure.

Xiaohong received her BA in Finance from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics in Dalian, China. She then earned her MA in Economics and MS in Applied Statistics from Bowling Green State University, Ohio. Xiaohong's research interest includes corporate finance, financial markets and institutions, financial contracting, and small business finance.
