Badoer, Dominique Carlo

Prior to entering the Ph.D. Program at the University of Florida, Dominique worked two and a half years as a risk manager for Bank Julius Baer & Co Ltd., where he specialized in credit- and market risk. Dominique earned his MSc from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich, majoring in Mathematics. Additionally, he is a CFA Institute member and has successfully completed all three levels of the CFA Program. Dominique's current research interests include asset pricing, corporate finance and risk management.

Biography:
Aaron Gubin worked in venture capital and investment banking before entering the Ph.D. program. He has a B.A. in economics from New College of Florida and an M.B.A. from the University of Florida. His research interests include corporate finance, venture finance, and capital structure.

Biography:
Xiaoding has BS degrees in Computer Engineering and Finance and a MS in Finance from the University of Florida. Her primary research interests include initial public offerings, corporate finance and financial institutions. In her spare time, Xiaoding enjoys movies, books, and traveling.

Biography:
Ani graduated from the University of Maryland with college and departmental honors, a B.S. in finance, and a minor in statistics. Her current research interests include mutual funds, behavioral finance, and private and public equity offerings.
Mihov, Atanas

Prior to joining the PhD program at UF in 2009, Atanas Mihov attended Ramapo College of New Jersey, which he graduated in 2008 with college and departmental honors. There, he completed his B.S. in Business Administration with concentration in Finance, as well as his two minors in Economics and Mathematics. His current research interests include corporate finance and market microstructure.

Biography:
Sabuhi holds a BBA degree in Economics and Management from Pittsburgh State University and an MBA degree in Finance from the University of Missouri - Columbia. Prior to attending the University of Florida's doctoral program, Sabuhi also worked as a financial analyst for Sprint Corporation's Corporate Financial Planning Division at their headquarters in Kansas City. His research interests include financial economics, international finance, corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions.

Ben entered the finance Ph.D. program in the Fall of 2006. Prior to joining the Ph.D. program at UF, Ben spent two and a half years with Navigant Consulting working within the operations and auditing divisions of several prominent investment banks, insurance providers, hedge funds, and real estate investment firms. Ben earned a B.S. in Economics, a B.S. in Business Administration (Finance), and a minor certificate in Mathematics at Villanova University. His current research interests include real estate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate finance.

Prior to entering the doctoral program at the University of Florida, Stace received his B.S. in Finance from Florida State University with a minor in Economics and Statistics. He was awarded the URCAA National Fellowship for his participation in research of mutual funds. Stace's research interests include empirical corporate finance, investment banking, IPOs, asset pricing models, portfolio management, and real estate investments.
Souther, Matt

Matt earned a B.S. in Finance from Auburn University, where he graduated as a University Honors Scholar after the publication of his honors thesis. He then went on to obtain his M.S. in Mathematical Finance from UNC-Charlotte. Before coming to UF, Matt spent a year as an intern with Nicholas-Applegate Capital Management in San Diego, where he performed research on transaction cost optimization and portfolio factor construction for the company's quantitatively-driven Systematic Equity strategies. Matt's current research interests include market microstructure and empirical asset pricing.

Brian earned his BS in Mathematics with a minor in Finance from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN. He then earned his MBA in Finance and Management from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College in Orlando, FL. Brian also worked in the research department of CNL Income Corp. in Orlando while attending Crummer. His research interests include corporate finance, payout theory, market microstructure, mutual funds, and after-hours trading.
