    Bio

    Prior to entering the Ph.D. program at UF in 2011 Aaron received dual bachelors degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Economics from the University of Delaware. He then pursued his Masters Degree in Economics while performing cost modeling research for the Center for Composite Materials (CCM) at the University of Delaware. His current research interests include international finance, corporate finance, regulation, and energy markets.

    Bio

    Charlie earned his B.S. degree in Business Administration and Finance from Central Washington University in 2009. He then spent several years working in the aerospace industry, both as a subcontract administrator and a financial analyst. Currently, Charlie is pursuing his doctorate and his research interests include corporate financing policy, capital structure, and governance mechanisms.

    Prior to entering the Ph.D. Program at the University of Florida, Emanuela received her MS degree in Real Estate and Finance from the UF. Her primary research interests include Real estate finance, Banking and Corporate finance.

    Bio

    Prior to entering the Ph.D. Program at the University of Florida, Yong received his B.S. degree and M.Phil. degree in Risk Management Science, both from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He also studied at Nanyang Technological University as a Temasek Foundation LEaRN Scholar and University of Toronto as an exchange student. Additionally, his paper won the best student paper award for the 2nd international annual conference of operations research and statistics and he is a FRM holder. Yong’s current research interests include corporate finance, asset pricing, behavioral finance and market microstructure.

    Bio

    Prior to joining the Ph.D. program at the University of Florida in 2012, Jaeyung earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the Seoul National University, where he graduated with departmental honors. He then obtained his M.S. in Finance from the SNU Graduate School of Business. His current research interests include corporate finance and financial institutions.

    Bio

    Yan graduated from Tongji University with a B.S. degree in Engineering Management and worked as a senior design management officer for K.Wah Group for three and half years. Prior to entering the Ph.D. Program, Yan earned her MSRE and MBA degrees at the University of Florida. Additionally, she is a CFA charter holder. Yan's current research interests include market microstructure, alternative investments, behavioral finance and corporate finance.

    Bio

    Nick received a B.S. in Finance in 2013 and an M.S. in Finance in 2014 from Virginia Commonwealth University before entering the Ph.D. program at the University of Florida in 2014. His research interests are broad but primarily include corporate finance, governance, corporate investment, and entrepreneurial finance.

    Bio

    Prior to joining the Ph.D. program at the University of Florida in 2014, Derek earned his bachelor degree in Economics from the University of Michigan, where he graduated with Distinction. He has also worked in the valuation service group at KPMG's San Francisco office and the investment banking division at Angle Advisors' Detroit office. His current research interests include venture capital, corporate governance and capital structure.
