    Bio

    Prior to entering the Ph.D. program in Finance at the University of Florida, Aaron received a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Delaware. He then pursued a Master’s degree in Economics while performing cost modeling research for the Center for Composite Materials at the University of Delaware. His current research interests include international finance, financial economics, and corporate finance.

    Bio

    Charlie earned his B.S. degree in Business Administration and Finance from Central Washington University in 2009. He then spent several years working in the aerospace industry, both as a subcontract administrator and a financial analyst. Currently, Charlie is pursuing his doctorate and his research interests include corporate financing policy, capital structure, and governance mechanisms.

    Bio

    Prior to entering the Ph.D. program in Finance at the University of Florida, Max received a Bachelor in Industrial & Systems Engineering, worked as an Analyst at Capital One and earned MBA with concentration in Finance at UF. His current research interests include corporate finance, capital structure, international finance, financial institutions & banking. Max’s teaching interests include corporate finance, financial management, investments, fixed income, and international finance.

    Bio

    Mustafa holds a BSc degree in Physics from Koc University and a MSc degree in Finance from Bocconi University. He interned and worked in various financial companies, located in Budapest, Istanbul and London. He is also a CFA candidate (Level II). Prior to switching to the Finance PhD program at University of Florida, he was a Finance PhD student at University of Mannheim. His current research interests include corporate finance and banking.

    Bio

    Prior to joining the Ph.D. program in Finance and Real Estate at the University of Florida, Svetlana earned her M.S. in Finance from the Finance Academy under the Government of Russian Federation, M.B.A. in Strategic Management from Moscow International Higher Business School, and Ph.D. in Economics from Middle Tennessee State University. Before switching to academia she spent several years building her career in business starting as a financial analyst and an auditor and leaving as a person in charge of the development and financial strategy of the company. Her research interests include behavioral finance.

He then obtained his M.S. in Finance from the SNU Graduate School of Business. His current research interests include corporate finance and financial institutions.

    Nick received a B.S. in Finance in 2013 and an M.S. in Finance in 2014 from Virginia Commonwealth University before entering the Ph.D. program at the University of Florida in 2014. His research interests are broad but primarily include corporate finance, governance, corporate investment, and entrepreneurial finance.

    Bio

    Prior to joining the Ph.D. program at the University of Florida in 2014, Derek earned his bachelor degree in Economics from the University of Michigan, where he graduated with Distinction. He has also worked in the valuation service group at KPMG's San Francisco office and the investment banking division at Angle Advisors' Detroit office. His current research interests include venture capital, corporate governance and capital structure.
