    Tying Branding to Philanthropy – Ron Jon Surf Shop and Special Olympics Florida

    What began in the summer of 2010 as a trial surf program within Brevard County quickly grew to a statewide Special Olympics competition in Cocoa Beach every September, which now draws more than 200 athletes from across the state. It all started when Ron Jon Surf Shop partnered with Special Olympics Florida to bring surf instruction as well as the culture and lifestyle of surfing to Special Olympics athletes. In a few short years, this partnership has brought tremendous joy to Ron Jon Surf Shop and Special Olympics in Florida, and hundreds of athletes who come to Cocoa Beach each September to achieve their personal best riding the waves!
