Electricity Market Design Seminar for Organismo Supervisor de la Inversion en Energia (OSINERG)

Twenty-five utility professionals from OSINERG studied differing designs and product markets in electricity, transmission pricing, rights markets, and access issues, during five seminars. Topics also included the designs of markets for, and current policy issues surrounding existing power markets including the PJM and NYISO markets in the US, Nord Pool in Scandinavia, and New Zealand.
Additional seminars on basic market designs, and the PJM and NYISO markets in the US, were designed for 50 students enrolled in an OSINERG-sponsored post-graduate program on energy markets and regulation.
