Letters of Recommendation
A minimum of two (2) letters of recommendation or completed recommendation forms are required for acceptance to the program. We prefer that recommendations are completed on-line as part of the on-line application, but we will also accept paper recommendations.
Recommendation FormsCombined Option for UF Undergraduates
Current University of Florida students can apply to the Combined MAIB option and, if accepted, they can begin MAIB coursework in the spring term before beginning the MAIB program full-time Summer B. The number of credits taken in spring can vary between 2 and 10, depending on the number of undergraduate credits that still need to be completed in that term. Students must complete the MAIB application process in the summer or fall term of the senior year. Even though MAIB courses are taken while the student is still classified as an undergraduate, courses cannot be taken unless proper admission has been granted by the MAIB program. Interested students are encouraged to speak with an MAIB advisor or attend one of our open information sessions. More information is contained in the following document:

Submitting Application Materials
Application materials can be submitted in pieces, do not hold materials in order to submit a complete packet at once. Please read the application letter carefully to gain an understanding of the application process.
Financial Information
Most MAIB students will pay for the program with personal funds or with assistance from Federal (U.S. students only) or private loans. Each year, the MAIB program is fortunate to have a small amount of money available for scholarships. The funds are used to help students pay for the study tour and costs associated with study abroad. The standard award is $2000, with a few outstanding students receiving an award of $4000. We are usually able to award scholarships to 8-10 of our MAIB students. There is no additional application process as qualified students are targeted in the admission process or soon after beginning the program. We do not use Master’s level students to teach in our College, therefore we do not offer teaching assistantships or fellowships. However, to reward one or two truly outstanding applicants who are not Florida Residents, we offer a work assistantship. This pays students a stipend per semester and enables them to qualify for the FL-Resident tuition rate. Again, these students are identified in the admission process and no additional application materials are required.
